ABILITIES AND SKILLS be careful how you live and breathe, release what's brewing underneath Largely a pacifist and even more so unable, Kaoru has no fighting skills to speak of or otherwise combat-oriented talents. While certainly not a talent but very much a skill, Kaoru is heir to a media empire and more money than god. He has a standard neural jack and can afford upgrades as he likes them, though generally straying away from any surgeries which might leave scars.

PERSONALITY how many times do you want to die? Control. The whole world could burn, as long as his hands played as the conductor of that great inferno, spitting arson from fingertips across the sky - he would still be okay, he would still be in control. Usually described as the light side of Hikaru's darkness, it would be a grave misunderstanding to mistake his methods for kindness. While lacking in the emotional flare of his brother, Kaoru's cold method and empathetic understanding more than set him a bar above most of the people he meets. Talented at seduction and comfortable as a liar, this young man can rarely be spotted without a calm smile and air of unyielding confidence. Sarcasm and masked insults are common fare for his tongue as much as silky compliments, trained to take on various social roles in his job that bleed into the off-work hours. His charm is tailored to the individual person and his need to associate, shifting between subservient flower to the righteously (false) anger of concern without a second thought, or any other variation that might be desired. It's all much easier if he doesn't have to mean it. The easy and obvious weakness, Kaoru's codependency on his brother knows no limits - nor does his desire to protect and selfishly keep, the recent death of his mother bringing a new kind of naive recklessness out of him with the single-minded goal to do the very impossible: wake the dead. Likely as a consequence of having his every want indulged and need overcompensated, his world has stayed very small and tidy; there are few things that would earn an eyelash bat if they did not concern Hikaru, and thus, his narrow reality. Fighting among the siblings manifests in a foul temper and passive aggressive retaliation against undeserving targets but fortunately, is a rare occurrence. He enjoys most intellectual pursuits with a special emphasis on literature and social science; it would not be uncommon to see grievous abuses of power to conduct social experiments on anyone and everyone for boredom or curiosity. Self-serving and callous as he can be, there is also genuine sense of honor and want to do the 'right' thing. The cerebral processes make that concept of 'right' especially difficult for him, morality made in shades of grey rather than any black and white dichotomy.
